Financial Controller

QUALIFICATIONS:

    * Degree in Accounting & Finance or any recognized professional accounting qualification.
    * Minimum 10 years experience in Accounting & Finance with at least 5 years in managerial position, preferably with work exposure in the hospitality or service industries. Prior experience in a reputable audit firm and/or MNC will be advantageous.
    * Believe in personal and system integrity; able to exercise professional judgment in meeting all corporate governance and corporate policy with clear and transparent reporting to the regional management and shareholders.
    * Excellent financial analysis and management skills with good business acumen.
    * Results-oriented and hands-on attitude with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    * Self motivated and able to work under time constraints and pressure in meeting tight reporting deadlines.

 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

    * Report directly to Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
    * Responsible for the financial and accounting aspects of the Company as well as provide support to the Regional management team in its strategic as well as operating business decision making processes.
    * Provide financial discipline within the Company and oversee the continuous improvement of appropriate systems, controls and processes to deliver accurate and efficient financial services for Management and other stakeholders while ensuring compliance along corporate governance and statutory guidelines.
    * Oversee the establishment and monitoring of Company-wide performance metrics to track and effectively measure, evaluate and assess the performance of all Company initiatives to ensure that all investments, operations and resources are executed at optimum levels meeting Company's objectives and to highlight financial performances in management reports.
    * Oversee the provision and resolution of financial issues as required by Management and the Global Headquarter to support the achievement of Company's objectives.
    * Lead and develop the finance team to ensure continuity and improvement of financial services for the Company.
    * Oversee the corporate/company secretarial and taxation matters, and ensure that they meet the local regulatory requirements.
    * Co-ordinate and liaise with bankers, auditors; tax agent and other authorities.
    * Review and finalize audited financial statements of the Company.
    * Ensure the Company's accounting policies and statutory reporting are in compliance with the applicable financial reporting standards.
